2007 SWAP Meet Swap Met Update - September 28th. 102 tables have been sold already! If you want a table, call soon as we are rapidly running out of space. Hall is booked, insurance is in place (thanks MAAC!), flyers have been sent out. book early so that you are not disappointed! The 19th Annual LMAC Swap Meet will be held on Sunday, October 14th, 2007. Location will be the "Canada Building", Western Fair Grounds, London, Ontario. Entry fee will be $5.00, tables will be $15.00 if paid in advance, $20.00 if paid at the door. Last year, we sold out of tables (120 + tables sold), so please book early. Canada Day Celebrations: Come join your fellow LMAC Members at our Annual Canada Day Celebration. This event is open to all LMAC members, family and friends. Starting at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 1st, we will be celebrating Canada at the field. We will be having a pot luck supper, so plan on bringing something with you. Jack and Kathy Baas will be cooking up a couple of turkey's, hot dogs will be available for the children (and those children at heart), beverages will be provided. Bring your own plates and cutlery. After supper, we will have open flying until dusk. I imagine we will have a candy drop for the children. Once it is dark, we will light off fireworks.
Argyle Mall Display. On Saturday, February 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., the club will be presenting a mall display at Argyle Mall. Please contact Joe Dennis at joedennis69@rogers.com if you can help or have an aircraft that you can display.
2006 Events 18th. Annual Swap Meet - Sunday October 15th. Thanks to all for attending! Many thanks to Dale and Linda McGill, Tiberio Almeida, Jim May, George Phelps, Jim Brown, Jack and Kathy Baas, John Willis, Gerry and Kevin Hicks, Bob Locke and any others that I have forgotten that helped out. It was a great show. Without these guys support and patience, we would not be able to put it on. Special thanks to the gang from AVF for their support and providing and running a raffle in support of the London Model Aircraft Club. Canada Day Celebration July 1st. 2006. The Club will be celebrating Canada Day. Starting at 4:00 P.M., the club field will be open to all MAAC members to come celebrate Canada Day and join us for our Field Re-Opening Event. There will be free food for all pilots and we invite all families to join us at dusk for our fireworks display. Dorchester Beaver's Visit May 4th. The Dorchester Beaver's will be visiting our club to learn about model aircraft. Please come out and help teach the children about aero-modeling.
